Our Philosophy

Pet's Retreat is your pet's "home away from home." Many clients call it the pet camp or spa. It is literally in-home boarding--our home. Our guests are treated like our pets or like family. We believe that a happy pet is a healthy pet and have striven to make Pet's Retreat as much like home as possible. When your pet comes for his next visit, we expect to hear about how excited he became as he neared Pet's Retreat and bounded into the office.

Boarding Areas

1. Small Dogs, Pups, and Elderly
The first floor has been set up for small dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs. The area is divided into spacious nursery rooms that will accommodate anywhere from one to four dogs. Pets who are accustomed to being together do better if allowed to room together. When they share a room, we charge for a dog and a half. We provide their food, bowls, and mattress. We encourage you to bring their toys and their bed, whatever would make them feel more at home. Many clients prefer to bring their own food. We will be glad to feed and medicate as requested. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Music is kept playing and there are no large dogs to frighten them. They are also taken for about five walks a day. The area is heated and air-conditioned.
2. Cats and Exotics
The first floor of the house has a special cat and exotic room. Our Kitty Condos are spacious enough to accomadate two feline friends. Again, we charge for a pet and a half for two rooming together. The kennels are very large with perches and they are arranged around the windows. Special diets, medications, and toys are welcome. The area is heated and air-conditioned. Music is kept playing.
3. Medium, Large Dogs and the Social Dog
Next door to the house is the larger dog facility. They have indoor/outdoor runs so that they can come and go at will. The runs are heated and air-conditioned and we keep music in the background. Food, bowls, and beds are provided, but you are welcome to bring toys, special diet and any medications. The outdoor runs are double fenced for their protection. Security lighting is used, and we live here with your pets to care for them 24 hours a day.
